Aston Martin Valkyrie and Limited-Series Car Storage in Las Vegas

When 150 cars exist worldwide, there is no parts bin, no body shop that has seen one before, and no replacing what the Las Vegas sun takes. Storage stops being a convenience and becomes asset protection.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie exists in a production run of 150 road-going coupes, plus 25 track-only AMR Pro cars. That number defines every ownership decision that follows it — because a car built in those quantities has no economy of scale behind its repair, its trim, its glass or its bodywork. REVCity Auto Storage at 7185 Bermuda Rd, Las Vegas NV 89119 is Las Vegas’s purpose-built climate-controlled facility for exactly this class of vehicle: 50–70°F, 40–50% relative humidity, zero UV exposure, and a BendPak four-post lift at every space. Limited-Series Cars Break The Normal Repair Model

A Porsche 911 has a global parts network, thousands of trained technicians and body panels available on a lead time measured in days. A Valkyrie has none of that. Neither does a Bugatti Chiron, a Ferrari LaFerrari or Monza SP, a McLaren Senna or Speedtail, a Pagani Huayra, a Koenigsegg Jesko, a Gordon Murray T.50 or a Ford GT. These are cars where the factory is the parts department, the service network is a handful of authorised centres worldwide, and lead times run in months.

Why this changes the storage calculation

On a mainstream exotic, environmental damage is a repair bill. On a limited-series car it is a repair bill plus a queue plus a documented condition change that follows the car for the rest of its life. Prevention is not the cheaper option — it is frequently the only practical one.

Add the ownership pattern. Cars in this class are driven rarely and stored most of the time. That means storage conditions are not an edge case in the car’s life — they are the car’s life. The environment the car sits in for 340 days a year does more to determine its condition in a decade than the 25 days it spends moving.

What Las Vegas Specifically Does To These Cars

The Valley climate attacks limited-series construction in ways that a general-purpose garage does not address. Peak summer ambient hits 115°F, interior temperatures in direct sun reach 160 to 190°F, and the UV index runs 10 to 12 — the extreme classification — from May through September across 310-plus sunny days a year.

Carbon monocoques and bodywork
The Valkyrie is built around a carbon fibre monocoque with carbon body panels. Epoxy resin systems and structural adhesives have real service-temperature limits. Sustained soaking at attic temperatures degrades bond lines over time and lifts clear over exposed weave — a defect that cannot be polished out of visual carbon.
Exposed and visual carbon
Once UV reaches the resin above a weave, it yellows and clouds. Refinishing visual carbon on a limited-series car is specialist work with no guarantee the finish matches adjacent panels.
Hybrid high-voltage systems
The Valkyrie’s Cosworth V12 is paired with an electrified system, and cars like the LaFerrari carry similar architecture. High-voltage packs are the most heat-sensitive component on the car; battery degradation roughly doubles per 15°F of temperature increase.
Bespoke tyre fitments
These cars run made-to-order compounds — Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 in bespoke sizes, Pirelli P Zero Corsa developed specifically for the car. There is no off-the-shelf substitute and lead times are long. Heat-hardening and flat-spotting are not recoverable.
Fluids and fuel
A high-compression, high-revving V12 is unforgiving about fuel condition. Unstabilised fuel separates and varnishes; PRI-G and Sta-Bil 360 manage the chemistry, but heat accelerates everything they are fighting.
Interior materials
Alcantara, exposed structural carbon, milled aluminium switchgear and bespoke leather all fade, delaminate and warp under a 160°F dash-top cycle. The full mechanism is on the Las Vegas heat damage page.
Purpose-Built
Purpose-Built
No sunlight. No temperature cycle. No compromise on a 150-car production run.

The Suspension Problem Nobody Plans For

Hypercars in this class use inboard pushrod suspension, active aerodynamics, hydraulic ride-height systems and springs and dampers designed around downforce loads rather than parking loads. Left sitting on its wheels for months, the car sits in a state its engineering brief never optimised for.

Tyre flat-spotting
Bespoke competition-derived compounds take a set far faster than road rubber. On a fitment with a months-long factory lead time, a flat-spotted set is not an inconvenience — it is the car off the road until the order arrives.
Loaded bushings and joints
Rod ends, spherical bearings and bushings sit compressed for the entire storage period. Stable temperature slows the material creep that follows.
Hydraulic and active systems
Ride-height and active aero systems hold pressure and seal position. Repeated hot-cold cycling is what drives seal weep in these systems.
Brake system
Carbon-ceramic rotors and their hardware sit exposed. Dust plus monsoon humidity forms a corrosion cell on the rotor face and in the caliper hardware.
Undercarriage inspection
Flat aero floors hide everything underneath. Without a lift you are not inspecting the car — you are hoping.
The fix
A BendPak four-post lift at every space, which unloads the wheels for the full storage period and makes the undercarriage accessible. Detail on the BendPak lift page.
A lift is not a luxury on these cars

On a mainstream exotic, storing on the wheels costs you a set of tyres. On a limited-series car with a bespoke made-to-order fitment, it costs you a set of tyres plus a lead time measured in months, on a car that may be needed for a concours date, an auction or a delivery.

Value At Risk

Limited-series cars are appreciating assets held under agreed-value policies. Hagerty, the leading collector car insurance authority, underwrites agreed value on documented condition — and environmental degradation is specifically not a claimable event. It is depreciation, and it is permanent.

ExposureConsequencePractical Cost
UV on visual carbonResin yellowing, clear lift over weaveSpecialist refinish; often no exact match

Fuel system degradationVarnishing, separation, injector and pump service$2,000 – $8,000+ on a V12

A single line item on that table typically exceeds a year of climate-controlled storage. Most owners in this class run the numbers once and never run them again.

Hagerty on start-up rituals

Hagerty’s guidance is consistent and worth repeating: do not start a stored car monthly and let it idle. It never reaches operating temperature, it introduces condensation into the exhaust and crankcase, and it does not circulate oil properly. On a limited-series V12 the correct answer is a stable environment, a proper multi-stage battery tender and the wheels off the ground — not a monthly ritual.

What REVCity Provides

REVCity is Las Vegas’s only purpose-built climate-controlled luxury vehicle storage facility — designed for this application rather than converted from warehouse space. That distinction matters most on cars where the margin for environmental error is smallest.

A building that runs air conditioning is not the same as a building that holds humidity, and on carbon-intensive cars the humidity control is the half that prevents corrosion and adhesive failure. That distinction is explained in full on the climate-controlled vs temperature-controlled storage page.

FAQ

Common Questions

How many Aston Martin Valkyries were built?

150 road-going coupes, plus 25 track-only AMR Pro cars. That production run is why storage conditions matter so much — there is no volume parts supply, no body shop with prior experience of the car, and no quick replacement for anything the environment damages.

Can a Valkyrie be stored in a normal Las Vegas garage?

It can be parked there, but an unconditioned garage tracks outdoor conditions — up to 115°F ambient with interior temperatures reaching 160 to 190°F in sun, plus the July-to-September monsoon humidity swing. Carbon bodywork, adhesives, hybrid battery systems and bespoke tyres all degrade measurably under that cycle.

Does a limited-series car need to be stored on a lift?

Yes. Bespoke competition-derived tyre compounds flat-spot quickly, and replacement fitments for cars in this class carry long factory lead times. A BendPak four-post lift unloads the wheels for the entire storage period and gives access to a flat-floored undercarriage that is otherwise impossible to inspect.

Should I start the car monthly while it is stored?

No. Hagerty, the leading collector car insurance authority, advises against it. A monthly idle never reaches operating temperature, introduces condensation into the exhaust and crankcase, and fails to circulate oil properly. Stable temperature, controlled humidity, a quality multi-stage battery tender and unloaded wheels are the correct approach.

What other limited-series cars does REVCity store?

The facility handles the full hypercar and limited-series spectrum — Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Pagani, McLaren Senna and Speedtail, Ferrari LaFerrari and Monza, Gordon Murray, Ford GT and comparable cars, alongside the wider Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Bentley and Porsche collections stored on site.

What are the storage conditions at REVCity?

50 to 70°F and 40 to 50% relative humidity, held year-round in a sealed, filtered building with zero direct sunlight on any vehicle, a BendPak four-post lift at every space, quality battery tenders and 24/7 monitored gated access.
