A Bentley interior is the most humidity-sensitive cabin built by any manufacturer. In a valley that runs at 10 percent relative humidity, that is the problem to solve first.
Most marque storage advice is interchangeable. Bentley’s is not, because two things about the car are unusual: the cabin is built from natural materials that respond to moisture, and the chassis sits on air. Both degrade in storage in ways a steel-and-plastic car does not. REVCity Auto Storage is at 7185 Bermuda Rd, Las Vegas NV 89119, holding 50–70°F and 40–50 percent relative humidity year-round. A Mulliner-specified Continental GT carries book-matched veneer across the fascia, door cappings, waistrails and centre console — real wood, sliced from a single tree so the grain mirrors across the cabin, then lacquered. Wood is hygroscopic. It takes up and gives off moisture with the air around it, and it moves when it does.
Las Vegas outdoor humidity sits in the 10 to 15 percent range for much of the year. Park a Bentley in an uncontrolled garage through a summer and the veneer substrate gives up moisture it was manufactured to hold. The wood shrinks; the lacquer over it does not. The result is fine crazing across the surface first, then lifting at the edges of the cappings where the veneer is thinnest. Neither polishes out. A full veneer set is a five-figure job because the panels are matched — you cannot replace one and have the grain line up.
That band is roughly what a Crewe trim shop works in, and it is what the cabin was built to sit in. Holding temperature alone does nothing for veneer; a cool, bone-dry building will crack it just as effectively as a hot one. The distinction between the two specifications is set out in climate controlled versus temperature controlled storage.
The hide has the same problem on a slower timescale. A Bentley interior uses somewhere around fifteen bull hides, and unlike a coated automotive leather much of it is semi-aniline — finished lightly to keep the hand feel, which also means it breathes. Dry air pulls the fatliquors out of it, and once a bolster has gone hard and started to craze, conditioner will not bring it back.
Every modern Bentley rides on air springs, and on the Continental GT and Bentayga they are tied into a 48-volt active anti-roll system. A car left parked for months settles as the bags slowly bleed down, and the rubber sits creased in one position the whole time.
The fix is to take the car’s weight off the suspension and the tyres entirely. Every space at REVCity has a BendPak four-post lift, and a Bentley stored on the runways carries no sidewall load and no standing load on the air springs for the whole storage period. How the lift system works, and the tyre side of it is in tyre flat spotting in storage.
A current Continental GT runs a large number of control modules, and several of them do not go fully to sleep for days. Add a tracker, and the standing draw is enough to flatten a healthy battery inside a few weeks — before you account for temperature. Lead-acid self-discharge roughly doubles for every 15°F rise in ambient, so a Las Vegas garage in July is doing the same job twice as fast as a garage in a temperate climate.
A flat battery on this car is not the inconvenience it is on an older one. Modules can lose adaptations, the air suspension can wake in a fault state, and on some cars the infotainment needs recoding. Every bay here runs a microprocessor maintainer that floats at a target voltage rather than pushing constant current — the distinction matters more than people expect.
Bentley built the last W12 in 2024 after twenty-one years, which makes every remaining Speed and Mulliner car a fixed-supply object. If you are holding one as an asset rather than a driver, the storage standard stops being a convenience question and becomes a preservation one. Document condition before it goes in.
Longer stays and seasonal patterns are covered in long-term car storage in Las Vegas. If the car is going to sit past a year, the fuel conversation starts to matter as well — and no, you should not start it monthly.
Owners tend to weigh storage against a monthly figure. The more useful comparison is against the specific repairs that uncontrolled storage causes on this particular car, because they are not general wear items — they are consequences with invoices attached.
Only the last line is uninsurable, and it is also the one that shows up at resale. Everything above it is avoidable for a fraction of the cheapest row.
Recommissioning a Bentley after a long sit is short, but the order matters and one step is specific to the air suspension.
What not to do during the storage period is start it every few weeks and let it idle. A short idle never reaches that temperature, so each one adds water and unburned fuel to the oil and shuts down before removing either. The full argument is here.
REVCity is on Bermuda Road just east of Harry Reid International, which puts it inside a short run of the Strip residences and the Henderson and Summerlin estates where most valley Bentleys actually live.

Because the cabin is built from natural materials. Book-matched wood veneer is hygroscopic and shrinks in dry air while the lacquer over it does not, which crazes and then lifts the finish. Las Vegas outdoor humidity runs 10 to 15 percent. REVCity holds 40 to 50 percent, roughly what the trim was built in.
It can be. Air springs bleed down over weeks and the bag sits creased in one position, and the compressor cycles against a settling car, drawing on the battery. Storing the Bentley on a BendPak four-post lift removes the standing load from both the air springs and the tyres for the whole period.
Faster than most cars. A modern Continental GT keeps multiple modules awake for days after shutdown, and lead-acid self-discharge roughly doubles for every 15°F rise in ambient temperature. In an uncooled Las Vegas garage a healthy battery can be flat within weeks. Every REVCity bay runs a microprocessor maintainer.
Yes. All three share the humidity-sensitive interior and the air suspension, and the Bentayga’s extra weight makes unloading the tyres more important rather than less. Spaces are sized for full-size SUVs.
It removes the damage that most reduces it. Bentley ended W12 production in 2024, so supply is fixed. Cracked veneer, hardened hide and UV-faded paint are exactly what an appraiser marks down, and none of them are recoverable once they have happened. Call 725-272-1803.
