Cadence garages are new, generous, and completely uninsulated against a 115°F summer. Twenty minutes away sits the only purpose-built climate-controlled vehicle storage facility in the valley.
Cadence is one of the fastest-growing master-planned communities in Southern Nevada, and it is filling up with exactly the kind of homeowner who ends up with more cars than garage. REVCity Auto Storage sits at 7185 Bermuda Rd, Las Vegas NV 89119 — roughly twenty minutes from Cadence up Boulder Highway and across to the airport corridor. Climate control at 50–70°F, 40–50% relative humidity, BendPak four-post lifts at every space, and 24/7 monitored gated access. Call 725-272-1803 for current availability.
Cadence was designed around family living on the eastern edge of Henderson — parks, trails, the Central Park amphitheater, and a housing mix that runs from townhomes to semi-custom estates. Even the larger floor plans top out at a three-car garage, and most of that space is spoken for the day the moving truck leaves.
The math is straightforward. Two daily drivers occupy two bays. The third fills with a garage gym, a workbench, seasonal storage, or the kids’ bikes. Then the weekend car arrives — a 911, a restored Chevelle, a Corvette that was supposed to be a retirement gift — and it goes in the driveway. In Henderson, a driveway is not neutral storage. It is a slow-motion loss of value.
The second pattern is the second-home owner. A meaningful share of Cadence buyers keep a primary residence in California, Washington, or the Midwest and use the Henderson house four to six months a year. The car parked in that garage sits untouched from May through October, which is precisely the window that does the most damage. Our snowbird storage guide covers that scenario in depth.
A collector car parked outdoors in Henderson loses up to 10% of its market value to sun, heat, and monsoon exposure over a few seasons — clearcoat failure, dashboard cracking, seal shrinkage, and interior fade. On a $120,000 car that is $12,000 of avoidable depreciation, which buys well over a decade of climate-controlled storage.
New construction garages in Cadence are drywalled and often share a wall with conditioned living space, which makes them better than a detached tin structure and considerably worse than owners assume. The overhead door is a large, uninsulated steel panel facing directly into the sun for part of the day. The slab absorbs heat all afternoon and releases it all night.
Measured reality: an attached, unconditioned Southern Nevada garage sits between 105°F and 125°F on a July afternoon and stays above 95°F until well past midnight. Relative humidity swings from single digits in June to 40% or higher during monsoon season from July through September, then back down. Every one of those swings is a stress cycle on materials that were never engineered for it.
There is also the dust problem. Cadence sits on the eastern edge of the valley where monsoon-season wind carries fine mineral dust across everything. That dust is abrasive and mildly alkaline — it etches clearcoat and it works into door and window seals. A garage with a standard overhead door does not keep it out.
There is no shortage of self-storage on Boulder Highway and around the Henderson interchange, and several facilities advertise oversized drive-up units that fit a car. Those units are built for household goods, and the difference matters more than the price does.
The lift is the part owners underestimate. A four-post BendPak lift takes the vehicle’s static weight off the tires and unloads the suspension for the entire storage term. That eliminates flat-spotting on expensive performance rubber and prevents the slow set that springs and bushings take when a car sits loaded for months. It also doubles the density of the building, which is why REVCity can offer climate control at a rate that competes with premium self-storage. We break the lift argument down fully in our BendPak lift guide.
Ask for the actual temperature and humidity setpoints in writing. Facilities that say “climate controlled” frequently mean temperature only, in a wide band, with no humidity management at all. The distinction is explained in our comparison of climate-controlled vs. temperature-controlled storage.
The run is simple. Out of Cadence to Boulder Highway, northwest toward the 215, then west to the Bermuda Road corridor just south of the resort district. Roughly fifteen miles, about twenty minutes outside of rush hour. Owners flying in and out of Harry Reid International find the geography particularly convenient — REVCity is under ten minutes from the terminals, so a car can be pulled, warmed, and waiting.
For owners who would rather not make the drive at all, transport between a Cadence address and the facility is straightforward to arrange, and it is the standard approach for second-home owners who close the house up in May and reopen it in October.
A car that goes into climate control dirty comes out of climate control damaged. The environment stops new attack; it does not undo what is already on the paint or in the fuel.
Wash and decontaminate. Henderson dust is mineral-heavy. Wash, clay, and dry completely before the car goes in. Anything left on the clearcoat has months to etch.
Stabilize the fuel. Fill the tank to roughly 90% to limit condensation space and treat it. PRI-G is the standard for long-term collector storage; Sta-Bil 360 is the widely available alternative. Run the engine long enough to circulate treated fuel through the entire system, not just the tank.
Change the oil first, not after. Used oil carries acidic combustion byproducts that attack bearing surfaces over a long sit. Fresh oil going into storage is cheap insurance.
Use a real battery tender. A trickle charger pushes constant current and will cook a battery over a six-month term. A proper microprocessor-controlled tender monitors state of charge and floats. Every space at REVCity is set up for one.
Skip the cover indoors. Inside a conditioned, filtered, UV-free building a cover only traps residual dust against the finish. Cars store uncovered.
The full sequence, including tire pressure, brake, and rodent-prevention steps, is in our complete long-term storage guide, and the heat-specific reasoning is in our guide to what Las Vegas heat does to a car.
REVCity sits on Bermuda Road in the airport corridor, south of the Strip. From Cadence the route runs Boulder Highway to the 215 and west — about fifteen miles door to door, and under ten minutes from Harry Reid International for owners arriving by air.

Not for anything you care about. An attached, unconditioned Southern Nevada garage runs 105–125°F on a July afternoon and stays above 95°F past midnight. That sustained heat accelerates battery degradation, hardens tires, dries interior leather, and shrinks seals. It solves UV exposure and nothing else.
Self-storage units are engineered for boxes. REVCity is purpose-built for vehicles: 50–70°F with 40–50% relative humidity actively maintained, a BendPak four-post lift at every space, battery tender support, sealed vehicle flooring, and 24/7 monitored gated access inside a fully enclosed building.
Yes. Seasonal storage from roughly May through October is one of the most common arrangements, particularly for second-home owners in Cadence and the surrounding Henderson communities who are out of the valley for the hot months.
No. Transport between a Henderson address and the facility is straightforward to arrange, and it is the standard approach for owners who close up the house seasonally. Call 725-272-1803 and we will walk through the options.
Yes. Every space includes a BendPak four-post lift, which unloads the suspension and takes static weight off the tires for the full storage term. That prevents flat-spotting on performance rubber and stops springs and bushings from taking a set.
